- Goods shall not leave the squares of the Aqaba Port to the inspection squares before obtaining the approval of all the departments involved in the regulation of the goods that have a lane on the customs declaration, whereas the declaration lane is changed to blue by all relevant departments in the event that inspection, sampling, etc. is required.However, if inspection is not required where verifying the documents electronically suffices, the declaration lane is changed to green, and there is no need to transport the goods to the inspection squares, and they are released to the merchant’s warehouses.
- Procedures for requesting a transport company:
1- The clearance company chooses the transport company as per the transport contract signed electronically between both parties on Nafeth's system, then Nafeth cohorts the vehicles to enter the Container Terminal, after the electronic approval of the Container Terminal stating that the goods may be loaded onto the vehicles.
2- Nafeth issues a permit to the driver after cohorting the vehicles for the purpose of entering the port squares, loading the goods and transporting them to the inspection squares.
3- The vehicles authorized to transport the goods are allowed into the inspection squares to complete the inspection procedures and for sampling by the relevant departments. Note: The merchant does not receive a copy of a Nafeth permit, which is received by the representatives of Nafeth and the fees are paid at ASEZA borders.
