Additional information
The shipping agent or his representative enters the private information into the Aqaba Container Terminal system, and each shipping agent has his own username and password.
Before submitting the application for approval for any of the containers at the port, the merchant must provide the station with a written document that details the contents of the container as well as the specifications of the container including weight and other measurements or as per the ports request. The port has the right to depend on these details as submitted by the merchant or the sender. The merchant is responsible for any damage or loss that occurs directly or indirectly as a result of inaccuracy or missing information and must compensate the port for any loss, damages, claims, costs or expenses that the port may incur.
The port will not accept dealing with any of the containers until the port verifies that the appropriate arrangements to reserve space have been made to transport these containers to their destination and within a period of time acceptable to the port.
