Additional information
The customs inspection is to ensure the conformity of goods with what is declared on the customs declaration.
The inspection must reflect the state of the goods with the owners permit and the accompanying documents attached to it, as well as supervising the withdrawal of physical samples, photos, videos, or other samples for analysis, whether it was for operations unit, the customs laboratory, or any other party that requires the completion of the declaration to be presented.
Upon entry of the customs premise the customs declaration lane is identified.
If the declaration is classified under the red lane an inspection is carried out by customs and other departments; if it is classified as a yellow lane, samples are drawn by other departments.
The inspection may be conducted simultaneous by the customs department employees and representatives of other departments inside the customs premises according to the selectivity criteria and the risk management for each department.
