Note: The time period is 7-10 days from the date of submitting the request.
A Health certificate is optional and available upon the importer's request.
1. The applicant completes a form that includes the requested documents, the number of requested certificates, and the requested language (Arabic, English)
2. The employee in charge at the Exported Food Division verifies the transaction, collects the inspection fees and issues the certificate
3. Submit the completed transaction to the bureau to request an "Import Notification" and transfer it to the Food Control Directorate
4. The Head of the Imported Food Department transfers the transaction to the Head of the Exported Food Division.
5. The Head of the Exported Food Division transfers the transaction to the technical employee in charge to conduct the examination and take samples from the quantity intended for export and deliver it to JFDA labs to check its suitability for human consumption
6 - The concerned party provides the technical employee with a copy of the sample testing report that proves the product's suitability for human consumption. The financial receipt is delivered with the laboratory result, or fees are collected in case the fees are not paid with the laboratory result (examination fees).
7 - The technical employee in charge prepares the approved health certificate in the language required by the exporter along with the items intended for export that have been proven to be fit for human consumption by laboratory tests. The employee signs the certificate and transfers it to the head of the division and then to the head of the department
8. The health certificate is signed by the Director of Food Control
9. The transaction is transferred to the bureau to obtain an "Export Notification"
11. Hand over the health certificate to the service applicant
Food Testing for the following: 1. Dairy Products 2. Grains and legumes 3. Oil 4. Feed stuff 5. Vegetables and fruits 6. Spices, Seasoning and table salt 7. Beverages and Juices 8. Meats 9. Canned products 10. Sugary products 11. Drinking water Laboratory Testing: Food Quality 1.Inquire about the scope of testing performed on the material needing the testing from the Customer Services Office. 2.Deliver the sample to the Customer Services Office. 3.Pre-payment (for new customers) 4.Customers will be informed when the tests have been finished to pick up the results from the Customer Service Office.
