Additional information

The certificates of origin forms are certified as per the requirements detailed below. Other forms may be approved or currently approved forms may be revised if necessary:
A- The general certificate of origin form (which is a unified form) is used for export under the approved agreements or used in cases not within the agreement in order to export to the countries within the European Union. A statement must be printed stating that this certificate is valid for the purposes of issuing a movement certificate (EUR-MED or EUR1) and another statement must be printed proving that the certificate is valid for issuing a Form A upon export under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP).
B- The Arab Certificate of Origin form is issued under the regulations of the Agreement for the Development and Facilitation of Trade Exchange between Arab Countries.
C- The Arab certificate of origin form is issued under the provisions of bilateral Arab trade agreements and protocols which the Kingdom is a party to. When filling out the certificate the exporter must take into account the requirements mentioned above.
The Chamber of Commerce is responsible for issuing certificates of origin for the non-industrial products shown below and approves invoices, signatures and commercial documents of its members:
1- Foreign goods for re-exportation.
2- Agricultural and animal products (after obtaining the required documents from the competent authorities).
3- Natural resources specifically sand and volcanic materials.
- The Chamber of Commerce has set necessary requirements for the issuance of certificates of origin for non-industrial and agricultural products as follows:
1- Valid registration for the manufacturer or exporter at the Chamber of Commerce.
2- The location of the merchant should be within the geographical scope of the Chamber of Commerce.
3- The invoice must contain all the information in Article (13) Clause A for agricultural products. - The Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products at the request of the exporter based on the original invoice of the manufacturer certified by the Chamber of Industry, as well as an original certified certificate of origin issued by the Chamber of Industry proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin.
- The merchant receives the certificate of origin or a written authorization signed by the merchant to be received by the representative.
- In the case of Jordanian industrial products being exported by the merchant, he is required to bring:
1- An original local purchase invoice with no objection to export from the manufacturer or an official letter from the manufacturer.
2- Original certificate of origin certified by the Jordanian Chamber of Industry according to the local specialization.
- The exporter must be a registered member with the Chamber, pay the annual service fees when services are provided to him and present an original commercial (export) invoice signed by the person authorized to sign administratively or financially on behalf of the institution/company according to the commercial register. He must include information related to the goods such as type, quantity, value, and origin of the goods. The invoice must contain the exporter’s name and address, the importer's name and address, the invoice number and date, in addition to the exporter’s declaration text as follows: (in Arabic or English) according to the language in the export invoice.
"We hereby certify that this invoice is in all respects correct and true both with regard to the price and description of the goods referred herein, and that the country of the origin is (………….)".
